I have a Fred Evans listed as among my great-grandmother's children who had died before she did (per her obituary). The obituary is the only reference to Fred I have. His parents were James Wesley Evans, b. 20 Feb. 1845 near Alexander, Campbell Co., KY, and Louisa "Lou" Huntsinger, b. 30 Apr 1852 in Carmi, White Co., IL. She died on 31 Oct 1920 in Noble, Decker Twp., Richland Co., IL. They were married on 25 Jan 1866 in Richland Co., IL. Family stories say James & Lou Evans were in MN for a while and, indeed, the 1920 census of Kansas City, MO, says that Fred's brother Charles A. Evans was b. in MN in ca. 1869. Family stories also say that some of the older Evans children were left in MN. One of these may be a sister Mary who was probably born in 1867 or 1868.
