Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.evans/6594.1.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Further information has come to light from a will in the National Library of Wales, Aberystwyth, that Thomas Evans was the eldest son of an earlier Thomas Evans also born in Llanfihangel ar Arth, Carmarthenshire (the parish in which Pencader lies) in 1782 and died there on 10 Feb 1845. He had owned property in Bridge Street, Brecon which passed to a younger son David Evans (1835 - 1872) who had owned th Bridge End Tavern, Brecon, before passing onto the elder brother Thomas (the hatmaker). There are also indications of a link to the Saunders faily of Lampeter. Thomas died 31 Mar 1888 in Brecon. Any leads to the family would be appreciated.
