Greetings from Michigan! I am looking for information on my G-grandparents David and Sarah Catherine Evans. To the best of my knowledge, David and Sarah had 6 children; Bessie died as a child, Joseph married Virgina Tharp, (Laura) Ellen married Luther Ward, Virginia married George Shiflett, Albert married Mary Shaffer, and my grandfather Robert Lemuel married Christina Jenkins. Shenandoah VA marriage records show David Evans married Sarah Freeman dau. of Kesiah Evans on Mar 2, 1849. In the 1850 census of Shenandoah, VA, 58th district I find a record of David (age 26) and Sarah (age 19) Evans. On the next page of the same census I find a record of Joseph (age 28) and Keziah (age 38) Evans. Does anyone have information to indicate whether Kesiah Evans indicated as the mother of Sarah Freeman the same person as Keziah Evans married to Joseph Evans? Is anyone else searching or perhaps holding information about Sarah and David? ... or Joseph and Keziah?
