I have only been able to trace our Texas Evans side back to William George Evans, father of Joseph Wesley Evans, (my g-grandfather), born 20 MAY 1863 in Spring Creek, Madison Co., North Carolina. Died 16 MAR 1945 in Mertzon, Tom Green Co., Texas. Joseph Wesley Evans married Esther M Lusk and she supposedly died in Arkansas on the way to Texas from N.C. but we cannot prove this either. William George Evans supposedly was born North Carolina as well but I cannot find anything. Any help would be appreciated. J.
