Wm and Anna are in the 1850 Jackson TN census. Children are Elizabeth, Tabitha "Jane", Nancy, Susanah, Paralee and Julia. I do not know much about them, Tabitha Jane was the second wife of my ancestor. I have learned a few more facts about the family though. I still have not found the children of Jane and Geo. W. Harper, other than in the 1860 census of Iron County MO, and the 1880 census in Jackson County, Illinois, when she is married to David Ginger. I have the pension records that Jane Evans filed for GW's civil war service. GW Harper and Jane Evans had three children, Fanny b 1868, Tennessee b 1862 and James Alexander b 1864. She had another child Anna, b 1859 in IL by an unknown father. She was married to David Ginger in the 1880 census. I have David Ginger in IL later with no reference to this family. He and his family were in MO in earlier census records. Back to the Evans family I suspect that there were sons, but I have not connected them to William and Anna. There was a David Evans in GW Harper's unit in the Civil War. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
