I know that in my family Evans and Shepherds have married in Virginia (west Virginia) My dad(deceased) had visited relatives in Kentucky but I never found out who or where they where/are. It has been very difficult to do genealogy on this side of the family I think possibly because of the war. Only records I have been able to find have been union records. BTW I do Living histories time era 1800s William T. Shepherd b.1870 Married about 1891 to Almeda J. Evens b.
