Thomas EVANS and Henrietta CLAYTON were married in Paulding Co., GA 11 Jul 1838 then moved to Itawamba Co., MS. Henrietta, daughter of Middleton CLAYTON and Melinda BEAUCHAMP, died sometime before 1873 (when Thomas married Mary F. WILLIAMS). I am trying to locate some sort of documentation of this - a death record, Bible record, obituary... anything that shows when she died - and hoping it mentions her mother who was still living at the time. It is suspected that she may be buried in the Gilmore-Evans cemetery, where Thomas' brother William was buried, but it must be an unmarked grave. If anyone is researching this family and has the information, I would be so tickled. Trying to complete an application for the DAR and I'm missing proof of the link between her and her mother.
