I know quite a bit about her older years but she seems to have ermm got about abit in her younger days marrying three times before it finally stuck. She's been quite hard to track down seen as she's had 4 different surnames within the space of about 10 years. Elsies parents are Charles Evans bn 1867 and Kate Spare bn 1872. Husband No one was a man called William Allton bn abt 1894 in Tamworth he married Elsie in 1915 before dying in 1917. From what I can get form records he was discharged from the army on medical grounds - he was epileptic, but as yet don't know how he died so young. Husband No 2 was Arthur Taylor bn 1886 in Tamworth he married Elsie in Q2 1920 in Tamworth, they had a son Reginald Arthur Victor Taylor bn 29 Nov 1920 in Tamworth. cannot find a death for husband 2 as yet, lots of Arthur Taylors out there. Husband No 3 was William Greenwood Naylor bn 1884 in Wakefield, they married 27 July 1925 in Wakefield, they had a daughter Jessica May Naylor on 25 June 1925. Both children seem to have been concieved before the marriage, and in the case of Jessica she didn't make it down the aisle before the birth. Thankfully Elsie stuck with husband no 3 and my 2nd great grandmother was known as a god fearing staunch catholic woman, well she was until I started the tree and found out she was more black widow than pious woman. I would like to get more info on her especially the Taylor side. Any help greatfully apreciated. Thanks Georgina Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
