Edna was born in the summer of 1925 and was of Irish-Cherokee Indian decent. Her parents died when she was young and she was raised my her grandmother on a farm in Ohio. After her grandmother died, she went to an orphanage (I don't know were). She only had an 8th or 9th grade education. She was living in Miami, Florida in 1944-1945. I was born in November 1945. I was adopted in Miami, Florida in 1946 or 1947. According to non-identifing information she later married and could not ask her new husband to accept the responsibility of a child that was not his (maybe to had to choose and needed financial assistance to survive). She worked as a elevator operator and cocktail waitress since she only had an 8th grade education. My original name was supposed to be Glory Jean after her best girlfriend. Do any Evans/Evens families know this person? Who like to know about my roots. Especially interested in the Cherokee family background. Would like to meet my mother if she is still living and know some other family to connect with. Hope someone replies to this message.
