Author: tehocking Surnames: Treloar, Hocking Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.evans/6028.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi My name is Treloar Elice Hocking. My mother found a page on John Hocking Treloar who was married to Ann Vine Mitchell. Their daughter's name was Beatrice so it think Mitchell is the answer you were looking for. My first name is Treloar. I was named after my Great Grandmother who was Margret Ellen Treloar. She Married a Hocking man. I think it is very strange that the two sir names are backwards in my family to yours. Hocking and Treloar that is. Not to mention that my dads name is John Hocking. I find it odd that it appears our families have been mixed through marrage many times in history. Pretty cool! Just wanted to share, Treloar Elice Hocking Redmond, WA Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I have a Susannah Evans Wykoff born (estimated, according to Census records), about 1852 in Ky, wife of Cramore Wykoff, and sister to my great grandfather. At least I assume it's you as my e-mail for you has a similar name. I was just thinking how many familiar names are in this thread. BTW, I've got some "original copies" of sheets from Vivian Evans Koenig which Susan Marion sent me to scan in and post on the myfamily site. I'll try to get that done soon. It won't supply any new info on the early Evans, IMO, but will give everyone an idea of who knew what when. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 2. My g-g-grandfather was John Henry Evans (born 1829 Tennessee, I think). I believe his parents were Thornton Evans (born 1802, SC), and "Franky" Moore (born 1803, VA). Do the Benjamin Evans and SC Evans folks have these names in your trees? Thanks. ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com
