Hello Folks, I am new to this list, and am wondering if anyone might have parents of John Evans and of Emeline Hennis, they were mostly in Licking county, Ohio throughout the 1800's. John was born abt. 1805 in Pennsylvania and his wife born abt. 1831 in Ohio. My son descends from them, and just found out who they are on a death certificate of their son Alben or Al.....have seen it both ways. Any help is appreciated. jamie
I've "rescued" an old photograph of two children identified only as member of the EVANS Family of Colusa County, California. The photograph was taken at the Boysen Photo Studio in Colusa, CA, likely sometime in the 1880's with the two children appearing to be about 3-4 years old at the time the photograph was taken. I'd guess that the oldest is a boy and the youngest a girl, though they could both be boys. I am hoping to locate someone from the EVANS Family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to their care. If you are a member of this EVANS Family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

They remained at the address in huntington until late 1860s. They then spread themselves out across the country, going to Birmingham and South Herefordshire. If you think there maybe a link let me know and I can furnish you with more details. Phil Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. When did your Evans family migrate to Kington? My Evans ancestors are from Kington going back to late 18thC, but I haven't yet done any research in the records office to give me any info before then. The Evans name is pretty common in the area however. Regards Jim Evans Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. I am looking for information on Anna Evans born 1756-1760 supposedly in Gilmanton, Stafford, New Hampshire. She married Samuel Avery in Gilmanton on 3 Apr 1783. They had childen Betsey (1789); Samuel (1790); Nancy (1792); Benjamin (1794); Samuel (1801); and Sarah Baker (1805). Samuel died in 1831 and in 1836 Anna requested a widow's pension. At that time she was living in Stafford, Vermont. I have not been able to find either her death record or her birth record. Does anyone have any information for Anna - birth date, birth place, death date, death place, parents, etc. that they would be willing to share. It would be very much appreciated. Brenda

Hellice Hambleton married William B. Evans. A friend of mine has an old newspaper clipping where she wrote a poem in memory to her husband and we thought a family member might like to have it. Unfortunatley, I have no other info on Hellice and William at this time except that she may have lived in Oregon at one time. U.S. census records for these two counties show Jacob and his family in the 1870 census for Logansport, Jeremiah and family in the 1860 census for Bethlehem Twp., and Jesse and family in the 1860 Washington Twp., census, along with four children from the Bickford family (relation, if any, unknown).
