Our Evan was born in PA ca 1743 m. a Mary or Jane Carson. He went to Staunton Va. His son Evan Evans m Martha McCray and migrated to Fleming Co Ky. See list below. Some researchers in our line believe that the Evan Evans' (wife Carson) father is Nathan wife Mary whos father is Nathan wife Sussana Davies. Our thought is that his father was an Evan whos wife may have been a McDonald. Problem is we have never been able to prove that. He came over in 1684. His wife, father and mother died on the trip over. The father's name was Evan ap William ap Howell/Powell and David had a brother, Philip, who came at the same time. David married a Mary Jones, daughter of James Evan(s) from Wales who settled in Radnor also. They had a son, John, Who married Msrgaret ? and ended up in Va. She was born in the summer of 1925 in a Mid-western state. Was of Irish & Cherokee Indian decent. Was told her name was EDNA. Her mother died when she was 5 and she went to live with her maternal grandmother. This was somewhere on a farm in Ohio. Her father died when she was 11. I was told that her great or great-great grandmother was full blood Cherokee Indian. EVANS was a family name. Edna had dark curly hair, hazel eyes with very long eyelashes and a very good posture. She did not like sports but did like to read and sew. She lived in Miami, FL from 1942 - 1947. I was born in 1945. EDNA worked as a bar maid, waitress, babysitter, housekeeper and elevator operator. I found him while searching for my 2nd gr-grandfather(another Jeremiah) in the census records in Illinois. This Jeremiah was born in Ohio in 1810 and was found in the mortality schedules for 1860 in Mason County IL. My Jeremiah died around the same time possibly in IL.
