I have been unable to find anything about "parameters" anywhere in the help files, but DO know what they are now. At one time, I had my file download program "GetRight" automatically Scan all downloaded files and it automatically added the proper "parameters" to automatically start Scan, and to Exit when finished. So, I just added them in the right place in the Scheduler. Open McAfee VirusScan Scheduler. (It should be a Tray Icon at the bottom right of your desktop. Double-click it.) Look for an entry, "Scan My Computer" or "Default Scan" or however you set it up. Right-click the entry and choose "Properties", or just Double-click the entry. When the window opens, you should be in the Properties Tab. Look down near the bottom. There will be a place called "Parameters". In the box, type: /AUTOSCAN /AUTOEXIT Click "Apply", then "OK", then exit the Scheduler. That will do it. SgtGeorge OK, Just did it and will see how it does in the am when I come to the puter... thanks so much.. Why don't computer tech know these things... ??? g **************END OF ORIGINAL MESSAGE TEXT************** Ginger, if it works properly, you'll never know in the AM whether it did or not! It will open, run, then close down. The only way you'll be able to tell is to view the log file. Neat, huh? SgtGeorge
