I finally had to download "The Cleaner" from: http://www.moosoft.com I installed it and tried it out. It works so well that I went ahead and registered it. One thing: It's kind of "pricey", at $29.95. That's a lot to pay for a program that finds only Trojans, but if the comparison chart on the web site is to be believed, it is worth it, since it catches virtually all known Trojans, while Norton, McAfee, and others, catch only a small portion of them. You can see the comparison chart at: http://www.moosoft.com/tc3vsav.html The Cleaner also has another application that one gets to use after registration, TCActive. Quote from another satisfied user: "TCActive! is a program that can catch trojans before they load and do any damage to your system. I highly recommend using it. It will not interfere with other programs at all. I would not feel safe on my computer without it running at all times!" It's memory resident and is supposed to catch Trojans before they can activate, even those that Norton and McAfee don't find. My problem is that I have so many resident applications like this, that when I start up Windows, my available Resources are way down. Most of these things I don't choose to automatically load with Windows, but put an entry into the Quick Launch bar at the bottom so I can start it if I feel it is needed. Enjoy, SgtGeorge George W.
