The quickest way to get to System Scan Properties is to right-click on the "V-Shield" sitting in your tray, move the mouse to "Properties", then click on "System Scan". Click on the "Action" tab. Under "Possible Actions", you will see 5 different choices you can check. You have to check them in order to have them available as options when a virus is found. Make sure you have them checked. Bet you don't! (GRIN) :-)........<VEG> Bet I do.. LOL.. so far so good... phtttttttttttttttt LOLOL... I'm already ck'd just like you said... I do have a question... If I don't want it doing a scan each time I boot up, for the sake of time.. what do I UN check... system scan.. ??? See, I'm getting there.. LOL g **************END OF ORIGINAL MESSAGE TEXT************** Using NotePad, open "autoexec.bat"; Look for these lines, probably at the very start of the file: C:\PROGRA~1\NETWOR~1\MCAFEE~1\BOOTSCAN.EXE C:\ @IF ERRORLEVEL 1 PAUSE @ECHO OFF Put "rem" in front of each of these 3 lines, without the quotes, of course, and put a blank space between "rem" and the actual lines.
