I set it to run a complete scan every am at 6. But, when I come to the puter, the AV screen is up and waiting for me to hit the scan now button. Any suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong. I'm wanting it to run it's first scan of the day before I am ready to work on it. I'm running the newest version.. 5.0 ginger **************END OF ORIGINAL MESSAGE TEXT************** This one I CAN help with! I have been unable to find anything about "parameters" anywhere in the help files, but DO know what they are now. At one time, I had my file download program "GetRight" automatically Scan all downloaded files and it automatically added the proper "parameters" to automatically start Scan, and to Exit when finished. So, I just added them in the right place in the Scheduler. Open McAfee VirusScan Scheduler. (It should be a Tray Icon at the bottom right of your desktop. Double-click it.) Look for an entry, "Scan My Computer" or "Default Scan" or however you set it up. Right-click the entry and choose "Properties", or just Double-click the entry. When the window opens, you should be in the Properties Tab. Look down near the bottom. There will be a place called "Parameters". In the box, type: /AUTOSCAN /AUTOEXIT Click "Apply", then "OK", then exit the Scheduler. That will do it. SgtGeorge
