George, (snip) However after reading your announcements in digest #74 and your reply in digest #78 I think maybe I understand the difference: Cleaner will search the hard drive and notify you of any type of trojan it finds. It is supposed to be very good at finding them whereas Norton and McAfee may miss a lot of them. There is no mention of "quarantine" In addition to its precious well known abilities Zone Alarm now detects a particular type of trojan (.VBS type) and quarantines it. It is not clear whether this occurs during download or after it has taken place. Am I starting to get the idea here or am I way off and still confused? Incidentally as I typed the last line my wife called me out to hear the last part of a TVannouncement of a new VBS virus and the warning " do not open any attachment with a .VBS ending!" Bill Murray **************END OF ORIGINAL MESSAGE TEXT************** 1) Zone Alarm detects the .VBS type of Trojan as it is coming into your system. I don't know what alert it gives if it finds one. The documentation at the web site wasn't clear on this subject. 2) You are understanding fine. 3) I'm getting ready to post a notice about the newly discovered mutation of the ILoveYou Trojan, called "Herbie: LoveBug II" by some. I'll put the notice in a separate email. SgtGeorge
