No, The signature is a plain text file that is inserted at the end of your message when you select signature or when the message is sent depending on version and settings. However, you can insert an image in your message, at least in version 5. I don't remember this feature in version 3 and I missed 4. On the menu click Edit>Insert>Picture. I haven't tried it before but will send one directly to you since attachments don't go to the list.
