Elizabeth, I don't reject attachments, but I do reject messages over 30K. That catches most (but not all) attachments. Go to Tools > Options... > Incoming Mail. Then check "Skip Messages over [ ] K." You fill in the size. It's not perfect, put it also stops many of the long jokes and forever Forwarded chain letters. BUT you must take the time to delete the messages from the server (unless you can set a filter to do that automagically). I don't think it is advisable to set up any email browser to automatically reject, or delete, attachments. I, for one, get too many genealogy-related files as attachments to even WANT to do this. Trying to delete attachments, or reject them, is kind of like telling the USPS to NOT deliver ANY mail to your mail box, just on the off-chance that you will receive something you don't want to receive. And, rejecting emails over a certain size, is in the same category. Elizabeth, what if someone sends you a GEDCOM that exceeds the 30 Kb size? Do you want to dismiss it out of hand? Folks, there are better ways than rejecting attachments, or emails over a certain size, to stop infections. You're plugging up the wrong holes.
