    3. Hi All, Hope you're all still there! Been kinda quiet! <g> 1. Does anyone use the PureVoice feature on Eudora? A friend is trying to get me to use it. I can hear his messages fine (as well as any other kind of sound files). I've plugged in my mike (checked it more than once for right connection) and have attempted to make recordings. On playback of my attempted recordings, there is never any sound. I've tried finding my problem in the help files, but.........nothing. Any ideas? It's the first time I've used the mike so maybe I'm missing something. 2. My friend is in sponsored mode.......whenever he opens Eudora to check for new mail, the program *always* opens up to a blank email as if he is going to write a letter. He always has to close it. No major problem........just annoying. Is this normal for sponsored mode? Can he stop from opening this way? I have the full paid version so I don't know if there is a difference. Thanks for any help. Have a good weekend! ;-) Linda

Find the little speaker in the systray at the bottom of your screen in the taskbar area. Double click on it. Do you see section title Mic? If you do, is the Mute block at the bottom of that section checked. If it is click on it and uncheck it. You should be ready to go. If there is not Mic section, select Options>Properties from the menu. In the section labeled "Show the following Volume controls:" Click on the box beside Mic. Click on OK. Look at the mute check box again and make sure it is not checked. If it's not you're ready to go. You may have to come back to this to adjust the recording volume. You'll just have to play with it to get it right. No idea about your other problem. Never seen it. Gene
