I have intermittent problems downloading e-mail, and don't understand enough about how Eudora works to know how to handle them. I'm on a cable modem, using 4.2 Pro, and have 5 personalities Wyn, the problem you list is with your server. If the ISP "times out", Eudora will eventually give up and log off. I feel that the problem is with the sheer number of emails that was stored at @home. That many emails may just have overpowered the server. You need to check it out with the people there. SgtGeorge I agree that the problem is probably with the server but the number of e-mails has nothing to do with it. I have the same thing happen all the time and I only have a handful of mail waiting to download. I believe that it is either to many people downloading at the same time or there are to many people on line. Don't really know for sure and this is only my opinion. Do you have any thoughts on this? The mail servers frequently bounce mail. If they are overloaded, the servers will ignore you, and the mail program, in this case Eudora will time out. For everyone using @home, I advise you to set Eudora time out time to better than two minutes. Jack
