I just get alerted if every and all veterans get the same praise, especially, if this praise is bought by humiliating the veterans on the other side. This is not how to make peace. >Stefan is a German living in Hanoi, Vietnam. That should be enough to >explain his obvious dislike for America. I have several American friends. I met quite a number of Americans outside America, who said, that once they were a short time outside the US, they saw their own likes different than before. But I do get annoyed by the typical American attitude. I was a few days ago singing with friends of the Hanoi International Choir in the American Club here in Hanoi. Note: This club is not diplomatic compound, and there were only very few Americans present. Foreigners could enter without problems, but official requirement was, that they know the identity of our Vietnamese singers, mostly girls between 20 and 25 years old. Do you wonder, that all our choir members, including the Americans, were shaking their heads? >Anyone can search through >history and find things that do not put a country in its best light. >Just as there is no perfect person, there is no perfect country. You admit, that there is "no perfect country", but if I post just a few reminders to that, if somebody claims it to be perfect, then I am "despicable"? Your country is great without doubt, it is just not "the greatest" - none is. >In my opinion, if Stefan Probst hates our country so much, I do not hate it, I just would like it to be - maybe even a first - amongst equals, not a first above others. >I truly hope he stays up there with his Communist >friends and never visits our shores. Since you were so kind to me here ON the list.... If anybody here on the list would be interested to use his Eudora to make contacts to Vietnamese, or to American projects here in Vietnam, I'd glad to assist.... >To Stefan: Buzz off !
