    1. [EUDORA] Mailing List

    3. Hello Listers, I have been using Eudora Pro 4.2 for about two years now. I have previously used several others. I would like to create a mailing list of a dozen or so names in the family that would constitute a mailing list for family matters. Am I overlooking something in Eudora that would do this. I can't find a way at all. I did it with Netscape Communicator Mail and OE. However, because of the rampant problems with these and the spread of unwanted using their address books, I don't want any addresses in their address books. If there is a way that I may be able to do this with Eudora please let me in on the secret. Thanks, Dean

    2. Gene Philips
    3. I clicked on a url that was blue and underlined in the body of a message I was reading and nothing happened. In the past the link would be transferred to Internet Explorer. I tried links in several messages. Does anyone know what might have happened. I'm using Eudora 4.0 Gene Phillips

There is a way you can do this. Open your Address book. Click the new button. Give it a nickname like Family. Then put a name in the Name section that you don't mind everyone seeing. Then type in the addresses you want, one per line, in the section called "This Nickname will expand to the following addresses". Below is an example of a test I just did. I have two other email address so I made an address book entry that in the Nickname I put "Myself" (without quotes) and in the Name section I put "Me", in the section to list the addresses, I put my other two email address and sent it from this account. This is what I got back. >Date: Sat, 19 May 2001 00:07:01 -0500 >To: Me:; >From: Debbie & Jeff Woolard <djwoolard@earthlink.net> >Subject: Test >Mime-Version: 1.0 >Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"; format=flowed > >Testing to see what comes back As you can see, all that shows up in the TO: section is what I put in the Name section. If you want to see the tutorial on this method, use this link to the page it's listed on the Eudora site. http://www.eudora.com/techsupport/tutorials/win_bcc.html Debbie

    3. Dean, what you are describing is the utility in Eudora called "ESP Groups". The best way to find out how to set it up and use it is to open the Eudora User Manual and look down the left side for "Using Eudora Sharing Protocol". There you will find complete instructions for its use. Or, you can click on "Help", then "Topics" in the Eudora program itself. Go to "Find" and type in "ESP". You will see several subjects there which will explain ESP. Hope this helps, SgtGeorge At 06:55 PM 05/17/2001, Dean Crocker wrote: *********START OF ORIGINAL MESSAGE TEXT********* >Hello Listers, > >I have been using Eudora Pro 4.2 for about two years now.
