Nothing I try will attach the file to the email. Thanks, JimWise

    3. OK, maybe I'm coming in here late and don't understand all I have seen on the subject of having a shortcut on the Desktop to send an email to someone, with a certain attachment. Using my limited intelligence, this would seem to me to be something that something would want to do when sending the same email over and over again to the same person, with the same attachment. ????? May I ask, "WHY?" Eudora has so many wonderful features, such as "Stationeries", that I cannot imagine wanting to set up a shortcut on the Desktop. This sort of thing seems to be trying to defeat all the things Eudora will do, and, in fact, is kind of like having an auto that will start by turning on the ignition key, but choosing to park it on a hill and start it by rolling it down the hill and popping it into gear to get it running. Folks, unless I'm missing something, I don't understand all this "mailto:" shortcut nonsense. Please correct me if I'm off base. Explain WHAT you are trying to do, and WHY. I can assure you that you can do the same thing WITHIN Eudora, without all the "rolling down the hill" shortcuts. Yes, you CAN have command lines for opening new emails, to certain, recipients, with certain subject lines, and with certain body texts. But, to what end? Why not have a "Stationery" set up in Eudora, which you only have to click on to send it? In either case, the Eudora program will still open up, and you're not saving any time making all those shortcuts.
