    1. [EUDORA] html is happening in mail editting
    2. Nancy *Hart* Servin
    3. I am using Eudora Lite. I receive messages from several maillists and I often edit them in order to save the parts I want. Recently, many of the editted results are being changed into what I think is html format. Below is a sample of the part of a mailling before editting: ______________________________X-Message: #1 Date: Sat, 2 Feb 2002 15:37:49 -0800 From: "MikenHelene" <carsonmh@volfirst.net> To: NYC-ROOTS-L@rootsweb.com Message-ID: <003401c1ac42$b34ef600$78e26f3f@pavilion> Subject: Re: [NYC] New Ancestry 1920 census index? Patty: I will give you an example of what you might find. If I plug in my g uncle's name and the city of NY in Ancestry.com's data base, I get a hit in their 1920 Fed Census Index. The index will give you the following information, plus a link to click on that says View Image On Line. This allows you to go straight to the 1920 Census Image, without having to know the ED etc. It does include the Roll# the ED and the page number if you needed it. Not all of Ancestry's index's are linked to the images yet, but I am told that is what they are working on. I know all of Manhattan and Brooklyn are being worked on and might even be finished. What they are advertising is an easier way to find your ancestors, without having to search for the page numbers etc. To me it is a life saver, because I can't get to an FHC often. 3. Where, in the "after editing" example do you see any evidence of "HTML"? The only thing that has changed, that I can see, is that there are now blank lines between paragraphs, as it should be.
