Zone Alarm changes the extension to .zlt or something like that so that the dangerous executable .exe and .doc and .scr files cannot be run. The icon is a warning, too, that Zone Alarm locked up the file. It may or may not be - but it's not safe to assume it. I removed everything from my Embedded folder and have had no problem because of doing that. I think all those files (months and months worth) were graphics imbedded in mail sent to me - mostly by spammers, I venture to guess - or by green newbies who think it's fun to include cute graphics in their email.
