    3. Eudoraians, Mailboxes and folders... would someone explain the difference and why use one and not the other? Can filters be used to route mail to a folder? More specifically, if I have XXXSurname as a main line and set up a mailbox for it, could I have collateral lines as folders in/under XXXSurname mailbox? In MSOLE I had main line folders with collateral subfolders, worked nicely. TIA, Sue

Can filters be used to route mail to a folder? Mailboxes are contained within folders with the exception of the ones in the Eudora directory (In, Out, Trash) Mail can only be routed to a mailbox. The folders are in reality directories. If you look at the Eudora directory with Windows Explorer (PC users only) you will see directories that might look like a filename because they have and extension (.fol) These are your folders. If you open one of them, you will see files with extensions .mbx and .toc These are you mailboxes and indexes to the mailboxes. >More specifically, if I have XXXSurname as a main line and set up a mailbox >for it, could I have collateral lines as folders in/under XXXSurname mailbox? I've done the same thing. Since I have use Eudora for years I have archived messages under a year folder. The folder structure under the year folder is the same as my main directory that way I can find old messages easily. Gene
