Hi, Mike - <<there is an filter selection in the ACTION area called SERVER OPTION from which you can select Fetch or Delete. According to Eudora Help, the message can be deleted from the server without fetching it. Mike>> Found it ! Wow, that little option was certainly tucked away. Thanks a million for the heads up. I found it, made the proper selection, and now all fingers are crossed. THANK YOU!! And thank you, too, Sue, for your suggestion: <<Another route you can go is to also notify the list manager privately (LISTNAMEHERE-admin@rootsweb.com) to which the infected person is subscribed. >> The infected messages coming from the sc.rr.com domain name are obviously from someone interested in genealogy, and that may be how his 'puter got my address...via a list to which we both subscribe. But the messages do not have a prepend nor an indication via which list he got my address, so there's no way to contact any particular list admin. (sigh) I think Mike's suggestion will do the trick.
