    3. Dear Gene - <<In Eudora it's called Filtering Messages to Folders. You just filter all >messages with this email address to the Trash. >> Thanks... It would have been really nice if there were a way to block all messages from that address, as is true with Outlook. I did set up a filter, but for some reason it does not seem to want to "take". It may have something to do with the fact that the virus is attached and the AV program grabs that... perhaps that interferes with the filter. Thanks, anyway. Susan

    3. In Eudora it's called Filtering Messages to Folders. You just filter all messages with this email address to the Trash. Easy as that. If you haven't figured out how to filter messages yet, use the online help, it has a good explanation. 3. How much RAM do you have. I had this problem constantly until I upgraded my computer from 32meg to 128 meg. Since then I haven't had the problem. Answer yes to rebuild the TOC. If you don't, you will lose all the new mail that came in for sure. You might lose some anyway. Gene At 11:12 PM 08/02/2001 -0400, you wrote: >Just as my mail was incoming, my Eudora program crashed. 3. Susan, Can't answer blocking question, but would like to restate something posted here before. Use your ISP mail gateway to view your email on the web first before downloading. You can respond (as I am doing to you), delete, etc., before it gets to your computer! My site I use, easily, is... Netwinsite... DMailWeb Web to Mail Gateway 2.1t http://netwinsite.com/top_mail.htm There are others, and maybe Earthlink has it's own. 3. Hi Joanne, When I couldn't send mail but was receiving it, I had an incorrect entry in my smtp server. To remedy this, I needed to contact my ISP and get the correct SMTP and then correct it in options. I corrected it by going to Tools>Options>sending mail and entering the information correctly in the SMTP server blank. I can't remember if I had to reboot or not. Hope this helps. Sue Cancio

    2. I need Help. I can't access Eudora Light. Last night after using Eudora all evening, when I tried to get my email it showed: This program has perfored an illegal operation and will be shut down. Details: Eudora caused an invalid page fault in module MFC42.DLL at 015f:5f40ea88. I tried to reboot and then completely shut down and start over. The same error came back. So decided to shut down and wait till this morning, hoping it would correct itself overnight. But no such luck. Thank goodness, this last week I had learned how to access my email from another source like Mail2Web. That helps to get my email but I had some unanswered email and can't access it from this program. I hope someone on this group can help or tell me where to go.Please be gentle. ;) Candace

    3. Hi Patrice. Thanks for your reply. No, I do not have Corel Word Perfect on my system. If I hear anything that may help you. I will pass it along. There may be a setting within Word Perfect that will remove the tray icon. If not, you can go to 'Start", 'Programs', 'System Tools'. Once there you can run a configuration routine which shows you all of the programs that automatically start when you boot your computer. You have the option of not running them. I don't remember the exact commands to get there, but if someone else doesn't come up with it, I'll delve into it a little more. Thanks again for your reply and good luck with the alarm clock. 3. In case, it was a fan problem. The hard drive cable unflexed itself and touched the CPU fan stopping it. I got the blue screen of death, computer freezing, etc. The messages you get on BSOD are important. They will give you a clue to where the problem is. I mean that I open up Eudora, put in my password and get my emails. My address is dilys@netgo.com.br and I receive my mail on Eudora. I don't know what Web-based versus Pop3 means. So, from what I understand in your answer, Eudora can't be used to read and answer mail anymore? So how do you use it? > If you did not mean EudoraMail, then I'm afraid we > are going to need some > more details. What other address are you talking > about? If you did not mean EudoraMail, then I'm afraid we are going to need some more details. What other address are you talking about? You can use your Eudora program for your Yahoo account. I do it all of the time. But you will have to agree for Yahoo to send you some advertisments. When you are in your Yahoo mail account, press on the options link or the help link. Look for anything pertaining to Pop3. You can then find directions on how to set up your Eudora program so you can use your Yahoo account. And I don't think it's a matter of what version you are using. I know alot of people who are still using v.3 so I don't think is the problem. Debbie
