    1. [EUDORA] Sudden Enlargement
    2. Mariana
    3. Gateway Intel celeron 366 Mz, 64MB, Win 98 Up to date Norton <g>. Some weird has happened to my computer....suddenly last night every thing is bigger than it was previously. I first noticed that the icons on my desktop were much larger than before to the point that some were half off the visible monitor screen. I fiddled considerable with the desktop display and was able to get it back to some degree of normalcy. So far all the programs I have opened have been affected to some degree..... Eudora is definitely affected. I now have two rows of tools across the top, rather than one row..which of course takes up more of the available screen. Everything is enlarged to the point that the send button is half off the screen. Any ideas? However, you can transfer messages from your In and Out boxes to other mailboxes and delete messages from you Trash box on a regular basis." Just a reminder of this FYI Debbie Woolard

    3. I found one drawback. There is another header named Old-Content Type: It appears when someone forwards a message that had an attachment. Thanks, Gene. This was the only filter I had in OE that I hadn't been able to duplicate or improve in Eudora. Like you, I sometimes get hundreds of mails at a time, and this filter isolates them so I can check for authenticity, and do it off line <G> Pat Asher

    3. On your filter dialogue box set it up this way: Header: <Any Header> Contains multipart/mixed Uncheck the manual checkmark so you can filter messages to their proper folders after you have looked them over. Also move the filter to the top of the list. This works because there is a header type named Content-type The Content-type for a message with an attachment is multipart/mixed. If you look at full headers on a message with an attachment, you will see a line similar to the following: Content-Type: multipart/mixed; boundary="============_-1228877411==_============" Thanks for asking the question. I never thought of doing that. I sometimes get a couple of hundred emails. I would like to find out where the attachments go, plus it will help isolate the viruses. 3. Pat, Best I can figure, a filter can't see attachments. Maybe someone else knows a way. You can route your attachments to a file of your choice and edit/view them from there. That way, other posts cannot see what attachments you have. When I click on a link, IE opens up, but the link is not transferred. I have to copy and paste the link to browse. This is not really a problem unless it is an imbedded link. Gene

I didn't have any in the original address book. I created one and then used "find" to find all files in the Eudora directory, sorted them by date and found that the main address book is named nndbase.toc and nndbase.txt the .toc file is the index and the .txt file holds the details. It's in the Eudora root directory on my computer. I use 4.0 Gene
