For most things, except genealogy work on 100 year old pix, I usually scan at 600 dpi just because of the space required. I only scan if I have no other choice on the old pix, as they will possibly fade sooner from the bright scanner light. I use a Kodak DC265 for most work, especially when exchanging pix with others. Go to the desktop, find a clear place, and right click. when the menu opens, select properties. In the properties window, select the settings tab, and on that window, select advanced. This gives you ATI's controls. From there you should be able to do some turning off. The items are probably being turned back on by some INI file. Hopefully you can control it here. If not, you can search the INI files, and as a last resort, reinstall the drivers. ATI has come out with new drivers for several of their cards in the past two months. Jack

Carol? Don't be sorry. If I didn't give George a "hard time" he wouldn't know how to act!!!
