George, Where do I go to type in these lines? I mean where do I find the EUDORA.INI file? Is it possible for me to just copy what you have listed below and paste it into wherever this file is? :-) Karima ----- Original Message ----- From: "George W. Karima, you need to add a line under [Settings] in the EUDORA.INI file. TabooHeaders= After the equal sign, type in all the headers you do NOT want to see, with each header separated by a comma and no space. Here are all the ones I have entered: TabooHeaders=X-FID,X-FIT,X-FCOL,X-FCAT,X-FDIS,X-FVER,X-BG,X-BGT,X-BGC,X-BCPX,X-BGPY,X-ASN,X-ASNF,X-AN,X-ANF,X-AP,X-APF,X-AD,X-ADF,X-ASH,X-ASHF,X-PRIORITY,X-AUTO,X-CNT,MIME-VERSION,MESSAGE-ID,CONTENT-,RECEIVED,X-ACCEPT,REFERENCE,CONTENT-,X-FROM,OLD-DATE,X-MSMail,Old-To,X-MimeOLE,Resent-Message-ID,X-Loop,Precedence,Resent-Sender,Resent-From,Errors-To,X-Bundle-ID,List-Help,List-Post,List-Subscribe,Delivered-To,X-Authentication,X-Mac,X-To,Return-Path,X-Mime,List-Unsubscribe,List-Archive,X-Topica-Loop,Priority,X-No-Archive,Mailing-List,In-Reply-To,Auto-Submitted,X-MS-Embedded-Report,Importance,X-Original,X-Mailing-List,Old-Content-Type I can always click on "Blah, Blah, Blah" in the icon bar at the top to see all the "hidden" headers. Is there any way to set Eudora mail so that the messages don't display the entire set of headers? I've tried to find an option for it but I give up! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Karima
About Eudora Pro 5.1, I would rather not go back to having the ads and I can't imagine the new features being worth another $40. Those appear to be my only options. Or am I missing something? Jim Wise

I upgraded from v.5.02R to v.5.1R without paying anything. I know there is a different link if your version doesn't have an *R* after it, but I don't know if it reverts back to the ads or not. When you create the filter to insert the line of hyphens: 1. Uncheck the Incoming and Outgoing box 2. Check the Manual Box. 3. Insert the line of hyphens (long, short or cutesy) into the first drop-down "Header" box (instead of using one of its pre-assigned choices). 4. Leave the next boxes blank. I solved that several years ago by starting to use ClipMate. It is the most fabulous add-on for Windows ClipBoard that I have ever found. It's instantly available, and you can store an unlimited number of text bits, URLs, passwords, user names, etc. You can also set up customized categories of clips. All in all, one of the best investments I have ever made for my computer. http://www.thornsoft.com I don't remember what it costs to register it, but ClipMate is worth much more than the purchase fee. It's a program called Clipmate. It automatically saves everything you copy and paste, whether it be text information or a web address you paste into your browser. Whether you're writing a letter or at a website. Youu don't even have to have it open. It does its thing automatically. Like Eudora, you're able to set up any number of folders/boxes within Clipmate. (At one point, I had sections set up with my different surnames and/or locations.) You can access it right from your tray at the bottom of the screen. I must admit, I don't use it as fully as I could, but I know others who use it and don't know what they'd do without it. I didn't have the time to fully learn all the different aspects. I do however find myself using it to find material or web addresses I had already trashed the week before. I got mine over a year ago and it was a free download for a period of time. Then if you liked it, you could buy it. I think it was only $20. And you can get any upgrades automatically. Here's the address to check it out. I think you can also get download from Zdnet or Tucows. http://thornsoft.com/ Linda

There was nothing in the fields for Full Name, First Name or Last Name. Whenever I had a few moments, I went in and started adding those fields (and correcting any fields that I didn't like how they transferred). You can have your address book sort by Full Name instead of Nickname. With the address book open, just click the little drop-down menu button next to View By (above the people in your address book) and choose Full Name instead of Nickname, but your going to have to do what I did first for this to work. And for me personally, I choose to have the persons full name in the nickname field, unless they were an immediate family member. This way, I don't ever have to change the View By choice, everybody is going to show up with their full name. Debbie Woolard

Ok, good people, I have just upgraded from Eudora version 3 'something' to Eudora version 5 'something'. Only reason I upgraded was because it seemed that Eudora had become corrupted....could not send mail.......I am beginning to think I should have just re-installed version 3 'whatever'. The lite version.......now I do not have redirect, or at least I can't find it. Redirect is a very worthwhile ability for a listowner to have.......Am I correct in assuming that it is not available on Lite, but is on Pro? Also is there a way to set the font to a larger pitch? If the lower set of blocks is below your buttons bars, the center block will be a square. Click on the square. This will maximize your message window. There is no way that the scroll bar can be off the page when the page is maximized. Gene Phillips
