I live in Sunderland, England, and my grandmother was an Etherington. This was her adopted name, as she was given up at birth to my great grandparents, who were William and Annie Etherington. They had a son George William Etherington, who emigrated to NSW in the early 1900's and married a lady named Millie McCann. Unfortunately, we lost touch after my grandmother's death.
