The only thing that confuses me is the Elizabeth Medford. I have in my tree that he was married to a Mary Elizabeth Hobgood, but I also have that her name could have been Mary Elizabeth Clarke, Mary Elizabeth Rich, or Elizabeth Medford. I'm thinking more towards the Hobgood or Medford because that's what I have seen the most. Maybe Mary Elizabeth Hobgood was married to a Medford before she married Lewis, or vice versa?? That would maybe make her maiden name have been one of the two, unless possibly she married twice before marrying Lewis. I wish I could find proof also. > > As far as the children: You are correct, I believe. I know I descend from Samuel, and I know that he had a brother named John. Samuel married Sarah "Sally" H. Raines. John married Frances Raines. Sally and Frances might have been sisters. > > I have Samuel's ancestors and decendants if anyone is interested. > > Important Note: > The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
