Save your money or donate it to your favorite charity. I am in the process of preparing a letter to National Genealogical Society. The organization was successful in running similar con publishers from other states. I hope NGS will sink its teeth into Maxwell and Christina whoever they are. I bought a book described as the Garlington Yearbook. It was nothing but an out-of-date phone book and not a very good one at that. Much of the information in the book, which can be found free on the Internet, came from the Social Security Death Index. There were many obvious errors, typos and grammar errors. People I know to be long dead are listed among the living along with their phone numbers. The author also produced a poorly written and insulting boilerplate history of mankind dating back to the days of the cave man. The author inserted your surname to make it appear that your ancestors were right there, smelly and hairy and climbing trees. It is garbage. There is also a joke section. He inserts your name into the jokes that have been circulating on the Internet for many months, maybe years. The jokes were not all that funny on the Internet and here, with your name or the name of a relative inserted as the brunt of the joke, they are painful and hateful. The companion CD is nothing but a repeat of the book but not formatted. It is also garbage. Guess you get the point by now that I do not like the so-called book. That is a mild statement. I have returned my copy and asked for a refund. That was several weeks ago. I haven't seen a refund yet. I would appreciate your help. I would like you to mail me the flier you received (or a copy). I will include it in my mailing to NGS. It proves the point that this is another scam and Maxwell Eastes and Maxwell Garlington and Maxwell McBrewster are one and the same -- pseudonyms for the same crook. Please send it to me at the address below. Also, please write a Buyer's Beware and post it on your Eastes mailing list. It might save others from the experience I had. You may copy and send this letter to anyone you wish. You can also check out my warning which I posted on the Garlington GenForum. Good luck, Jo Ann Garlington 2560 Maple Ave. Concord, CA 94520 >> Best Regards Roy <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< END >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> When we record our heritage we take great pride in looking at our list of ancestors and admire their origins, migrations and accomplishments.
