    3. Can anyone help out with this request? Thanks, B.Oaks Subject: Questions about Estes Family Date: Wed, 29 Mar 2000 05:14:31 -0800 (PST) From: "Roberta J. Dooley" <rjdooley_47117@yahoo.com> To: Barbara Oaks <mtnmom@flash.net> We took a trip to Adair County and visited cemeteries Monday, some I hadn't been to and mom, my aunt, my dad, husband and myself rode to a few. Stotts, Pelston/Polston and a few others that only had 1 person in them. I found some that I don't have in my data base and thought you could probably help me with it. In the Pelston/Polston Cemetery I found Stanley Estes b:8/28/1915 d:5/25/1984 wife Gladys b:3/18/1920 d:9/27/1978 daughter Margaret Sue Estes b:3/17/1944 d:9/27/1978, mom and my aunt remember Stanley having a wreck on Independence Ridge and Greenbriar Ridge and it killing his wife and daughter these are the two. But I don't have a connection with them being related. Is Stanley Edd Estes son? They seem to think he was, can you help me on this one? There was also Edd Estes, Melinda V. Estes and 2 infant children of Edd next to Stanley and his family. I have Edd and his wife Melinda but nothing more on them. I didn't have the 2 infant children. Also James Estes and his wife Jammie which on her stone it says Janie. James was a brother to Edd right? One of the Estes girls married George Stilts, my grandmother Vergie Mae Hawkins was first married to a Herman Cawthron and his mother was Mollie Stilts, do you know anything on the Stilts family or how I can find someone who does? I found Williams and Firkins in that cemetery also. Oh yes Louise Estes is buried next to James and Janie is this there 3 month old daughter or if not do you know who it is. I had no children listed for James or Edd. It was interesting and fun to have mom take me to these places. She and my Aunt Gertie remember quit a bit and have been very helpful with facts. Let me know. If you have children for Edd, Stanley, James or anymore please let me know who I would love to have them and also the Stilts family. On Herman Cawthron's death certificate it states that he was buried in the Stilts Cemetery but it is called the Fudge Cemetery. Maybe when he died in 1924 it was a family cemetery and they just called it that, haven't found anything where it is called Stilts, and in contacting Adair County Genealogy nothing there either.
