G'day 'gain, In the same source as my earlier post I found the following: (From "CAVALIERS & PIONEERS", Nell m. Nugent, Vol. V) p.259: James Atwood, 1,765 ac Amelia Co both sides Little Bryer R., adj Martin, Elisha Eastis, Davis, Cobb, Watson, & his own line. 20 Jul 1748 p.453a-5 p.260: Elisha Eastis, 400 ac Amelia Co betw Bush & Bryer Rivers, adj Rud, his own line, Atwood, Davis & Macgeehee, 20 Jul 1748. p.329: Elisha Eastes, 400 ac Amelia Co S side of Bryer R. adj Parson & Atwood, 12 Jan 1747/48 The only Elisha's I have born before 1727 are Elisha Sr (1703) and Elisha son of Sylvester (who presumably went to NC with his father). But .. I have Elisha (1703) as having moved to Henry Co by 1727 and was not in Amelia Co. Does anyone know who this Amelia Co, VA Elisha was? Does anyone have anything on the movements of Elisha Sr (1703)? He died in Henry Co, VA .. but just when did he move there? Is my 1727 date far too early as it looks like. His son, Elisha Jr was in Amelia Co latter on .. but he was born 1729, so under legal age in 1748. And in 1748 the Elisha in Amelia Co already owned land. Thanks, David. -- I bless the day I met you and I thank God that he let you lay beside me for a moment that lives on and the good news is I'm better for the time we spent together and the bad news is you're gone. - "You're Gone", Diamond Rio DC2.D A+++!
