G'day folks, I've been in touch with a lady who claims that the Moses Estes of Pendleton Co, SC was in Bedford Co, VA, which is where nathaniel was born. I've seen that claim floating around before, but at least now there's a source, of sorts, to stick with it, even if it's just a person. I admit I have questions about some of the stuff below, but I'm forwarding it to the list so other's can judge for themselves. I did ask Mary's permission to forward it, BTW. Cheers, David. Hello David Sorry to be so long getting back to you. Had to dig out my info. I didn't write down my sources on a lot of info I worked up, big mistake, so had to hunt it. Found some work sheets someone sent me. Don't know who. Know it wasn't Perry McCrary, I corrosponded with him a good bit, but also with a Tommie G Estes at Pleasant Grove, AL. Think these work sheets came from him. That is the only place I have found Moses Estes married to Elizabeth and that Nathaniel was born in Bedford Co. VA. Bedford Co, VA is on Moses' work sheet where Nathaniel is listed as a child and on Nathaniel's work sheet. His birth date is 5-17-1777 on one and 5-15-1777 on the other. I only know of the three children of Moses but in an ESTES TRAILS it does mention the possibility of more children. Note at top of the worksheet says Moses came to Pendleton District, SC from England in the late (looks to be 1700's) and he was (this work looks to be married) when he came to America with a large family. These work sheets were hand made and hand written and are hard to read, also has 1790 SC census Pendleton Co written at top.
