Hello All I am looking for the father of John Carter b 1756-8 Va., d after 1840 in Chester , S.C. . He was married to Mary [Polly ] Estes dauther of Willian & Elizabeth Estes. They had a son Levi Sylvanus Carter,b 1804 ,d1843.& and son John Joseph. .Levi married ,Aesley Wilkes Dauther of William & Lida [Clark ] Wilkes They had 7 childern .Levi then married Elizabeth Mayfield [dauther of Abraham & Susannah Mayfield ] about 1846.The had 4 childern ,Richard, Thomas, Harriett, & Sylvanus Mayfield Carter [ my grandfather ] I belive he was the son of Benjamine Carter, &Mary Elizabeth Blakey. And a brother to Churchill Carter If anyone can help it would greatly appreicate it. Paul Carter
