Estes, born (probably) in the mid 1850's, in Hart Co, GA. He could be an uncle or even the father of your Thomas Lester. Thomas L. Estes was the son of Dr Micajah Estes, born 1804, Anderson Co, SC, died 1883 Hall Co, GA, and his second wife, Julia Headen (married 1854). This was a rather famous branch of the Estes family .. one of Thomas L's brothers was a senator, another a state court judge. Braches of this family were in Atlanta. I would suggest you try and get a copy of Thomas Lester Estes marriage certificate .. that may give some information on whom his father was. Also check for him in the 1891 Hart Co, GA census - he'll be listed as a minor with his parents, assuming the family had not moved from Hart Co, GA by then. If you can't find him in Hart Co, GA in 1891, I'd try the various counties that comprise Atlanta since he was there in 1910. I'd also check the 1910 census which will confirm his approximate year of birth and may give you additional information about him and his parents (such as the states in which they were born). cheers, David. -- The universe is not only queerer that we imagine, it is queerer than we *can* imagine - J.
