I would like to contact descendants of the following persons who have their roots in Essex. Although their names are spelled Prentis and Prentyce, the descendents may have adopted the more modern spelling of Prentice. Children, all baptized at Shalford, Essex County, England: 1. William3 Prentis. Baptism: 5 Jun 1567. 2. Margaret Prentyce. Baptism: 30 Jan 1568, in Shalford, Essex, Eng. According to Shalford marriage records, on 25 September 1598 a Margaret Prentice married *Robert Chapman*. She may be the same Margaret since Valentyne's daughter, Margaret, was apparently unmarried at the time of his May 1598 Will. As of 2002, the IGI does not show any children for a Robert and Margaret Chapman. 3. John Prentyce. Baptism: 13 May 1571. 4. Richard Prentyce. Baptism: 20 Sep 1573. 5. George Prentyce.
