George and Susanna ALDHAM had two children baptised in Frating, Essex, in 1817 and 1818. George and Elizabeth Higham ALDHAM had one child baptised in Wickham in 1822, another in Langford in 1826 and three more in Ulting in 1828, 1833 and 1835. I believe George in each case to be the George ALDHAM baptised in Ulting in 1792 but have been unable to find any marriage, either to Susanna or Elizabeth, nor a death for a Susanna ALDHAM between 1818 and 1822. Elizabeth Higham HUMPHREYS was baptised in White Notley in 1797. I do not know Essex so do not know which other parishes might be close to those mentioned in order to search SEAX, which is where I have got what information that I have. Hi Bruce, I have been building up a database of the surname HUMPHREYS (including the various spellings) in Essex. I have the following entry from the Witham marriage register (D/P 30/1/15): George ALDHAM of the parish of Ulting in the Co: of Essex, Batchelor (sic) and Elizabeth Higham HUMPHERYS of the parish of Witham in the County aforesaid, Spinster were married in this church by Licence this fifth day of July 1821. The witnesses were Harriet Aldham and John Humpherys. Interesting to note that George said that he was a bachelor, so the George you found in Frating could be another person. Hope this helps.
