    3. Hi Glyn, Thanks for this - I hadn't thought too much about the continent. His brother Samuel died in the Royal Artillery, so maybe my thoughts were not on seafarers. I have tried newspapers, but to no avail. The death you mention in your other mail, I already have. according to the parish record, he was 73, so I have attributed it to another Abraham born about 1767. Most of the NORSTER/NOSTER clan originated from Portland, Dorset, but this is a little enclave in Essex that I am trying to complete. Again, thanks for your help and observations.
