Hi Bruce, The Thorrington parish registers are available to view on SEAX via subscription (varying from one day up to one year). The baptism register records: George, son of George and Susanna Aldham was baptised on 23 March 1814, George was a farmer. The burial register records: Susanna Aldham buried 18 April 1816, of Colchester, infant George Aldham buried 28 September 1816 of Thorrington, aged 2 I don't know if the above information is of any help to you. Regards David Many thanks to all who responded to my message. I’m puzzled by ‘Susannah Aldham born and buried 1816 in Thorrington, the parish record says she came from Colchester.’ Is this an infant born and buried in the parish but whose parents came from Colchester? As Thorrington doesn’t seem to be available on SEAX I can’t check it it myself. David has rather spoilt my theory of it being the same George unless someone is able to find another Susanna ALDHAM death between 1818 and 1822 and George (with two small children) was a little economical with the truth in his (second) marriage. Thank you David, I'm reluctantly coming to the conclusion that I have two different George ALDHAMs. Reluctantly because it is the George who married Susanna and had a daughter Susanna in February 1818 in Frating is the one I'm interested in. All I have for him is his marriage in Thorrington and his and Susanna's two children in Frating. Having downloaded a map from FamilySearch I can see that those two parishes are neighbours whereas Ulting, Wickham Bishop, Langford and Witham form another group with White Notley not far away. Also I don't really know why I thought that Thorrington isn't on SEAX. I've now done some searching there but cannot find any trace of either George or Susanna or any of their families, except for one base daughter ALDHAM in 1791. Thanks for your help.
