    3. Jenny I get the same message as Lawrence, superimposed on a yellow background and positioned centrally between "Search" and "NAME' Perhaps it depends one's geographical location, although that would still not clarify the point of the message Peter Moll Tortola, BVI On 14 June 2013 10:22, Jenny De Angelis <jennyda2@gmail.com> wrote: > Hi Lawrence, > > I have just followed the link you posted but it doesn't seem to mention the > piece about the language that you noted in your message. > > All that I got on my screen was the search page for Settlers in Barbados > and > on the right hand side of the page a menu of items to choose from. 3. HI Peter, I get nothing like you describe when I open the page. I get up the usualy While and grey page with black lettering and the usual type of search page with first name, last name, keyword and then the search button. Beneath that is a list of Source information and to the right two short menus, one = Browse this colleciton with a drop down list to choose from and the other is More Help with 5 topics for help on using this database. How strange! Regards Jenny DeAngelis <<I get the same message as Lawrence, superimposed on a yellow background and positioned centrally between "Search" and "NAME' Perhaps it depends one's geographical location, although that would still not clarify the point of the message Peter Moll Tortola, BVI>>

    3. Caroline Bell and I seem to have solved the mystery of the yellow message that Lawrence received from his search. I use the Old Search system on Ancestry uk and I don't get that message when I open Lawrence's link, but I think it likely that Lawrence is using the new search method on the site. Caroline had contacted me to say she too gets the yellow message and I told her I thought the new search might be the cause of it appearing. Caroline tells me she went to the link and reverted to the Old search and the message disappeared. Hope you can follow what I am getting at. I tried the new search and didn't like so have stuck with the old search system which I had got so used to using.
