And to add to the confusion, a death is registered where if occurs, not where the person lives. So I have my father registered in Bethnal Green as he died in the hospital there, though he lived in south east Essex and a great uncle registered in Newark, Notts even though he lived in Newcastle, because that is where the train was when they discovered that he was dead. Ancestors can be so inconsiderate in the way the do not record themselves.
