Hello All, I am looking for members of the LYS or LYES family in East Anglia in the 1700’s. My interest is for a certain ANN LYS married to a WIMPLE POWELL in Harwich, Essex sometime before 1784. Ann is mentioned in Wimple's will.As LYS could well be a name of Huguenot origin, and we know that there were settlements of Huguenots in Thorpe-le-Soken and other villages near by, I would be interested to learn if somebody has researched Huguenot ancestors in, and around Harwich at that time in the hope that their search could point me in the right direction.
