I have been searching the S series on Ancestry - didn't realize there were missing pages - that's why I've drawn a blank on some of my SNELL searches. When working through the "complete" BMD looking for relatives, it is necessary to take careful note of the page numbers at the top. I have found them in reverse order, sections out of order and, as mentioned here, just plain not there. As far as I can see, the only way to deal with these is to email support@ancestry.co.uk and give them as much detail as possible about the problem found, which then does get sorted. Eventually.
