Vicky, I concur with all that have made comments. There is also a great program from the LDS Church called Personal Ancestral File (PAF) that is a free download at their web site www.familysearch.org (on the home page - bottom right-hand side) no strings attached. It is dated but still can hold pictures, notes and sources. You will need a GEDCom to transfer the information. Hopefully, your local LDS Family History Center can help you with it. Good luck! Returning to my family history after a break I have a new computer and when I went to load the programme and transfer all the date over the Cd for the programme will not load. The reason is obvious that the new computer is XP and the old 98. The software was distributed to run with windows 95. I have searched the internet for an alternative programme. I just wondered if anyone had any suggestions. To get the data off my old computer is going to take forever if I can't load the programme. Any advice would be welcomed.
