There's usually a 100 year closure on hospital records but sometimes a direct descendent can obtain the information if there is no one in closer direct relationship still living. If the Health Authority or local archive is willing to release the information, they may insist on doing the research themselves so that other, still closed, information is not seen by the enquirer.
